A long list of things to do can be overwhelming. My list for the book is extensive. Add the rest of life and I get exhausted just thinking about it. This is why I write things down.

I’ve found that as I make lists of what I would like to see accomplished, I feel a peace inside of me as though it has already been done. The writing process isn’t a necessary procedure to manifestation. Heaven knows we create nearly our entire lives without the slightest bit of awareness that we are doing so. We certainly don’t need to be aware to create. We do, however, need to practice awareness to create the life we want. Journaling and making lists nourishes our desires.

As I have a goal, write it down, and let go of the way I think it is going to happen (or when; or with whom,) what I desire manifests. At first it surprised me to look at my lists a short time after writing them and realize that much of what I’d written had already been done. Now, I’ve come to know it as a way of life. I know that I don’t have to stress or strive to have what I desire. I don’t have to ‘work’ to create or publish a book. Heck, I don’t even need to know how! If I see it clearly, let it go, and follow my heart, it will come.

I use the words ‘vision’ and ‘desire’ in a most broad sense. It is just as much a vision to imagine myself dropping a bill in the mailbox as it is to imagine living in a mansion with beach front property. Sometimes we have dreams that produce great change. Other desires are more survival oriented. The process of accomplishing our goals is the same regardless of the impact it will have on our lives.

Writing down my goals releases my mind to remain in awareness and gratitude for life. In that lies the key to having my dreams come true.
