Recipe for Heaven

New opportunity brings a euphoric rush of bliss as we ponder possibilities. With a single thought of what may be, we feel a surge of energy… a feeling of hope and excitement! We may ask ourselves, “If thought can bring me to such a state of ecstasy, where else can it take me?” We already know the answer.
Often it is difficult for us to believe that we can remain in a state of bliss eternally. Yet, when we realize that thought is what brings us to heaven in the first place, then we also must take into consideration the possibility of controlling thought in such a way that we willfully think thoughts that feel euphoric.
Feeling great is pure health. It’s healing. When we feel good, we aren’t stressed or fearful, (states of mind that cause dis-ease), we are at peace and above! We laugh! Sometimes we cry… but we are open, allowing life to pour through us.
The truth is, we don’t always choose thoughts that feel great. Sometimes our thoughts feel downright cruddy! But… perhaps we are getting better at recognizing when our energy level has dropped, and are learning to live in awareness of what we think and our overall health.
Our thoughts are electrical currents in our brains. If our body isn’t functioning at peak level, our thoughts cannot function at peak level. There are many influences we can put into our bodies to change our chemistry, but they are temporary and often come with a let down. It is much more powerful to keep one’s mind and body healthy than to rely on outside influences for one’s bliss.
We choose what we feed our minds from a smorgasbord of conversations, music, video and written selections. Each input affects the brain’s path of thought.
Rest of the body as well as the mind is of utmost importance for our brain’s optimum functioning. Quieting thought allows intuition to flow. Being still with all that is around us and focusing on sensations throughout our body rejuvenates the mind.
Gratitude and appreciation are energy boosters that are always available to us. When we open to love, we have no fear, and thus, nothing holding back out natural state of bliss.
Open heart, open mind, and choices that encourage bliss. In a nutshell, that is my recipe for heaven.
